*** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 345174 ***
Comment 3 Olivier Churlaud 2015-05-05 18:49:13 UTC
Siddhartha Sahu it's not a duplicate: it's exactly the reverse of the bug you attached.

It works well at startup and after a while it the item disappear.

Please confirm. If you close it again, I'll let it closed (I reopen just for clarification)

Hi Oliver,

Does it disappear while the dolphin window is open, and is fixed by restarting dolphin? Ah then it is indeed the opposite, sorry

Thanks for the bug report!

Looks like a bookmarks syncing bug with the same root cause as in bug 345174.

> Dolphin : 15.04.0

extra/kdebase-dolphin 15.04.0-3 ?
Comment 6 Olivier Churlaud 2015-05-05 19:06:14 UTC
 Emmanuel Pescosta Yes, exactly
Comment 7 Olivier Churlaud 2015-05-05 19:08:17 UTC
However, as you can see in my pictures it's not only the custom bookmarks that disappear but also the links for the *Recently saved* documents, Network, Root...

Ok thanks.

What are you doing in Dolphin while the bookmarks start to disappear?
Any other applications wich access user-places.xbel are running?

nothing.. Often I see that after having let the Dolphin window in background.. And when I come back (10 min later or more), the bookmarks have disappeared.

No idea: how can I check this?

It seems that https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=345174 is corrected, however mine is not...

I'm suspecting a misconfiguration (I upgraded by this time from kde4 to kf5) so maybe there is a conflict somewhere...

Any idea?
Thx
Comment 13 Olivier Churlaud 2015-05-20 11:37:46 UTC
I think it was a conflict with previous configuration... A fresh install solved it

Thanks for the feedback! :)

Hi,
I'm experiencing the exact same problem on Manjaro (Arch based) with Dolphin 15.04.0 and KDE 4.14.8, did not mess with KF5 for the moment. I think it appears with the latest update of KDE. I've deleted the .dolphinrc in ~/.kde4/share/config. But the problem is still there.
Do you have any suggestion? If you want more information, just ask.
Comment 16 Olivier Boucard 2015-05-30 15:40:36 UTC
Problem has solved by removing the folder ~/.local/share/kactivitymanagerd.
