Since update to plasma 5 the file open/close dialog shows up in a folder just fine but when hover an item it changes line breaks for some items that then paint on top of each other.

The attached images show the before and after view of the issue.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the dialog to select a file in any KDE program
2. Enter a folder with long file/folder names
3. Hover with the mouse pointer to any item

Actual Results:

This looks like a duplicate of Bug 328497
Comment 4 artur.glavic 2015-05-10 12:15:23 UTC
Not sure about that. I did not observe it to get fixed by changing folder or resizing the window.
Comment 5 Andrew M 2015-05-10 13:56:58 UTC
That original comment regarding changing folders and window size was in 2013 for KDE 4. The bug is much more aggressive in KDE 5.
