Description bugs5.kde.org 2015-04-26 15:44:06 UTC
Hi there

I installed Kubuntu 15.04 and added the Kubuntu Team 5.3 Beta PPA.

I have a few custom applications that I need to manually add to the k menu app list. In the kmenuedit you can add new entries and you can select an icon. Either use an icon from one of the provided categories (as provided by (/usr/share/icons) or you can browse for an icon yourself.

When you select the radio option to browse and then click on brows, no file selection dialog appears, hence you can't really browse for icons.

This worked fine on Kubuntu 14.10

Reproducible: Always

If you upgrade from 14.10 then the dialog works fine but on a new install it doesn't appear. I've also noticed this shows up in my .xsession-errors file when I click on the icon to change it:

Im also able to consistently reproduce this. I get the above console output when I edit the icon for a menu item. In addition, I get the following line when I actually click the "Browse" button.

QInotifyFileSystemWatcherEngine::addPaths: inotify_add_watch failed: No such file or directory

There are several duplicates:

The https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=346316 has:

"Bug is not about in kmenuedit. Problem is in frameworkintegration package.I fixed this problem with install new package frameworkintegration_5.9.0+git20150418.1058+15.04-0ubuntu0_amd64.deb It works with kmenuedit v5.2.2 and also git kmenuedit v5.3.90"
