Description bugs5.kde.org 2015-04-26 15:05:53 UTC
Hi there

I installed Kubuntu 15.04 as fresh system and added the Kubuntu Team Beta PPA for 5.3.

I just opened a file with kate using fish protocol: fish://user@server.com

Then I selected in Kate again to open a document.

On Utopic 14.10 and earlier version, it did then open the file selection dialog again at the same place where the other file is already opened.

However in 15.04 it started the file selection dialog at ~/ instead.

Reproducible: Always

I confirm that fish re-open is not working as in previous versions.

This seems to be true for any kioslave other than local disk as the same occurs when accessing files via FTP or SMB, in these cases it appears to store in filedialog history the path + the filename of the last file you opened, rather than just the path.

e.g. if you opened ftp://user@127.0.0.1/test1/test2.py then in the history this would show ftp://user@127.0.0.1/test1/test2.py/

Not sure if the reason it is not starting in the right folder is because it is trying to goto ftp://user@127.0.0.1/test1/test2.py/ and failing as test2.py is the file not folder

if this is a separate issue i will file a different report, but it sounds like it could be the same issue.
