Okay: I have a two-monitor (laptop+external) setup. The secondary monitor is occasionally disconnected.

When this happens, all the windows on it move to the primary screen, along with the panel at the bottom. When I reconnect the monitor and try to move the panel back, I cannot access the panel settings.

After unlocking widgets, I right click the panel and choose Panel Options -> Panel Settings. The usual settings window/area/panel with the "Screen Edge" option immediately disappears after opening (as if I had clicked outside that area), preventing me from moving the panel back. A workaround is restarting the plasma shell.

This is almost always reproducible, and I'm willing to try to debug it.

Note that as I was just trying to reproduce this a minute ago, the whole of KDE/plasma crashed (became unresponsive, with the Panel Settings still on screen), forcing me to CTRL+ALT+BACKSPACE.
