When going into the printer settings I am asked for root password, then, once I make any changes to a printer's settings, like changing the duplex options, I am asked for a root password again. Why should I be asked in the first place if I am only going to be asked again for it when I make any changes?

For Plasma6, we've fix many of the auth issues, but anytime we go to config media or the print queue (both legacy apps, not part of the kcm) and changes are made there, auth will generally needed again.
