Screenshot showing cut off text in password dialog of "new wallet" wizard

The UI layout of the "new wallet" wizard doesn't prevent text from being cut off in the dialog for providing the password.

By default the window is rather narrow which forces the text downwards underneath the input fields where it is then cut off.

Are you using Qt 5.4 ? According to https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-37673 it should be fixed since that version.

Yes, the screenshot was done using Qt 5.4.0 - now I'm on Qt 5.4.1 and it's still the same.
