Description snell.doug 2014-11-15 05:20:31 UTC
- What I was doing when the application crashed:

Nothing. This issue has happened to me numerous times on Cinnamon (most frequently while playing a game, or watching a video on-line, but also randomly as it did with KDE). I had just installed KDE, and this happened shortly after initial logon, but did not completely crash the system.

- Unusual behavior I noticed:

I noticed KDE tossed a brightness control indicator at the bottom of the screen, and KDE handled the situation without crashing. My guess is my laptop flipped over to battery-power, and immediately back to plugged-in. I did not do anything to my laptop, but KDE seemed to handle the event more smoothly than Cinnamon AND it gave me an indicator as to what happened.

Reproducible: Sometimes
