Description tcmbackwards 2014-10-11 16:56:35 UTC
If I try to share a folder using Dolphin's "share" tab, I can click "Share with Samba" and choose user and guest permissions, but when I press OK the share isn't created, and when I go back to the share tab none of the options I chose are selected.

It works the first time only. After that, any changes made are not updated. If I make changes using net usershare, the options are not reflected in the share tab.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create folder in Dolphin
2. Right click, properties, Share tab
3. Enable "share with samba"
4. Click ok
5. Test share, may or may not work
6. Right click, properties, Share tab
7. Make changes
8. Click ok
9. No apparent change to share
10. Right click, properties, share tab
11. Share tab is the same as you left it in step 4

Actual Results:
No change to share, no change to displayed properties in share tab

Expected Results:
Share tab changes share to allow guest access or change user permissions
Settings stick after clicking OK

I tried submitting a bug to Ubuntu Launchpad but the submission guidelines said to use the kubuntu Help -> "Report bug" button, which sent me here. This may be a kubuntu-specific integration problem but they have no obvious way to submit bugs for kubuntu.

Thanks for the bug report! Looks like an issue which has been reported already.
