Hello! hello! I have to also write this: after the reinstalling kubuntu - project-neon5 in late august 2014 -- i dont have a regular kwin plasma workspace anymore (only the project neon5) and under pn5 this problem does not occur anymore --- at least i didnt see it yet. It is however still appearing in kde4 so it seems the issue is not fixed yet -- but i also have to admit during this time rarely i experienced a crash with dr. konqi appearing and trying to upload sth to bugs.kde.org (usually i get a crash with no stars /segmentation faults/ -- prob coz of too much memory usage and because there is no additional packages to be installed the reports are useless) --- if/and when i experience a crash in pn5, which will be 2 or 3 stars and i will be able to test if i can send the error report to bugs.kde.org, i will post here additional information. thank you! nice day Simon :)

Similar bug here. Drkonqi cannot login at bugs.kde.org, returns an "unknown server error" and cannot send the crash report. Here is the message: "You tried to log in using the [MYLOGIN@EMAIL.com] account, but KDE Bugtracking System is unable to trust your request. Make sure your web browser accepts cookies and that you haven't been redirected here from an external web site. Click here if you really want to log in. Please press Back and try again."
@Alexis Kauffmann: I have not see the exact error message you got. It looks very much like the kind of messages when you go into the bugs.kde.org website in a browser and have trouble logging in or getting a cookie accepted. Or, possibly, if you get to the website by using the Help->Report Bug menu item in a KDE app. The present bug is to do with an invisible, programmed login by Dr Konqi, after a KDE app crashes. You should never see the website unless you ask for it after the report has been sent in (invisibly) by Dr Konqi or you have asked to open a new Bugzilla account. The present bug arises because, in July 2014, Bugzilla software moved to a new version in which cookies were no longer issued or accepted with programmed logins and bug submissions, because of spam problems in some Bugzilla databases. So Bugzilla forgets your Dr Konqi dialog in between logging in and sending the report or report-update. The fix is ONLY in KDE's bugfix release KDE 4.14.2 and 4.14.3. It has not been backported to any earlier release and it is not (yet) in Frameworks/KF5 releases, though someone is working on forward-porting it.
If this problem is actually recurring after you installed KDE 4.14.2 or 4.14.3, please send a full description of what you did just before the problem occurred. Also please attach a copy of Dr Konqi's log output to stderr, either by running the crashing app from the command-line and capturing stderr or by retrieving it from the system-log, e.g. using konsole(?) on Linux or Console on Apple OS X. The log output is our hope of finding the answer.

There should be no passwords in it. If I see anything else that might be sensitive I will sanitize it before letting anyone else see it. However I do think I am going to need some help from KDE core developers on this problem. The log shows that my patch to Dr Konqi is indeed present in your distribution (I was getting paranoid about that). But it is still getting the 410 error. Back to the drawing board for me... :-( Meanwhile, please use kdebugdialog to turn off growth in your .xsession-errors file(s).

@ian: do you mean something other than the API change? is it possible that the server has some sort of user agent block in place that is triggering on whatever UA drkonqui is using??? i haven't attempted to use tcpdump on the traffic generated but i can if absolutely necessary... i have one 64bit system that has numerous apps crashing all the time... it is extremely painful and the whole reason for moving to ubuntu was to get away from all the whineshite crashes... sadly, things are just as bad :( :( :(
Help is on its way. A KDE core developer and I have isolated the root cause of the problem and he has found a possible fix. I do not know yet when it can be committed and released, but will let you know as soon as I can. Germano's log was a great help. Thanks very much, Germano. The log showed that another KDE process (called kio_http) can send cookies to the Bugzilla database, before it forwards your bug report, and we have found that this causes the 410 error. You could work around this by going into bugs.kde.org in your browser and logging yourself out, then using the browser to erase all (now obsolete) cookies it holds for the bugs.kde.org website. But that would be tedious. Otherwise, the only workaround for now is to get Dr Konqi to save details on a file, then go into bugs-kde.org and paste the details by hand into your bug report.

One of KDE's core developers did succeed with it, but it was tricky. I will be fixing Dr Konqi to use a different security method, which trumps any cookies that happen to be around.

Go back two or three comments and you will see that the fix would have been in bugfix release Applications/14.12.1 by the KDE community, in January 2015. Hi Ian, Thanks - I saw that but I don't really understand what applications version 14.12.1 means - or how to check what version my system is using? I know the KDE, Linux and ubuntu versions, but these are obviously different...
14.12 is what would have been 4.15, the versioning scheme changed to a date-based (year.month, as in Ubuntu) scheme because the released set of tarballs contains both some applications using kdelibs 4 and some using KDE Frameworks 5.

The bug was fixed in version KDE Applications/14.12.1, in January 2015, which came after KDE 4.14, the last full KDE 4 release. Please contact Kubuntu maintainers to get the fix applied and released in Kubuntu.
