Description nastec 2014-06-24 18:18:06 UTC
I have defined 4 usrs in Kubuntu 14.04 in beginning of using it. I'm sure they were visible in first days. Now after few actualisation of system are visible only 3 users and add new icon. When i want to add user with same name as invisible user, it is not possible (red circle sign), system knows user, but don't show him. In KUser is all OK.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open system settings
2. Select User administration
3.
Actual Results:
Not all users are shown.

Expected Results:
All users are shown.

Cyech localiyation of system.

id is "peter".
Btw. I tried to remove this account and there was another "invisible" user which was visible before it.
So i think there should be some bug in counting.

nastic, Alex probably asked for the numerical ID, not the name. It is possible that the id is in a range of system IDs that are hidden by default.

Thanks for the update. It could be a duplicate of bug 336994.
Comment 8 Holger 2016-07-26 23:02:11 UTC
another possible duplicate could be bug 339784
Comment 9 Sudhir Khanger 2017-07-06 13:43:08 UTC
I think I am hitting the same bug. The most recently added user is not being shown.

Please feel free to let me know if you need any info or testing to get this really old bug resolved.

Let's consolidate on bug #336994 that seems to have the best leads on cause and fix/workarounds
