Canon MP 640 printer was autodetected by CUPS after some driver installation, however, I wasn't able to add the printer using kde-add-printer because it does not accept the URI. Adding the printer using the CUPS web frontend worked fine. See attached screenshot. Reproducible: Always

Printer URI for these seems to be always cnijnet:/xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx where x represent hex digits.
Probably another aspect of the same problem: printer should probably appear in the section "discovered network printers", like the Samsung printer.

May I ask what happens if you add another "/" (slash) after cnijnet:/ so it becomes cnijnet://xx-xx.... thanks
We believe this is fixed in the recently released Plasma6. Can you retest this and report back?
