Description Silvio Grosso 2014-02-20 19:43:01 UTC
Hi everyone,

Just updated Krita 2.8 beta 3 on Windows 7 - 64 bit ( home edition - service pack 1)

I have tried once again the OpenGL feature but, as usual for this system, it does not work at all.
As soon as I enable this feature, my mouse's cursor is no longer visible on the canvas.
The Painting is not possible (none of my strokes are visible; sometimes they are shown much later instead...)
Luckilly, my cursor reappears when I move it on the upper bar window (with all Krita menu) thus I can disable the OpenGL feature for good.
All in all, for me, this bug is not a big deal (this feature works very well on Windows 8 - 64 bit where I run a new powerful computer...).

I report this bug just to let you know ;-)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Fire up Krita 2.8 beta 3 (Windows 7 - 64 bit)
2. Create a new document
3. Paint something (all strokes are visible).
4. Enable OpenGL > the cursor disappears from the canvas: the strokes are not registered (they are not visible or they appear much much later).

I can reproduce this bug both with the Touchpad and with an usb mouse (never tried with a Wacom tablet...) .
Actual Results:
OpenGL does not work on my Windows 7 - 64 bit system.
The system is updated (I have downloaded all latest Microsoft updates and drivers today before installing Krita 2.8 beta3 today)
Nvidia drivers are updated as well.

Expected Results:
OpenGL should work with all Nvidia Drivers on Windows 7 - 64 bit :-)

Meh... on my Win7 system, with a Geforce GTX 650 Ti and the 327.23 driver, there are no problems...

I can confirm vanishing cursors (with and without opengl activated)
This happen for me to the affected layer in this bug:

Same problem with a NVidea GT 220 with the latest drivers on windows 7 64bit. Guy came in on IRC to tell this, but they wished to remain anonymous.

I'mn afraid that we're going to have to close this bug as upstream. It's pretty clearly a driver problem :-(
