Description Odysseas 2013-11-22 13:06:46 UTC
I managed to install the new Intuos pro medium tablet in Kubuntu 13.10. The tablet is rexognized perfectly, even touch is working great.
My only problem now is that I cannot configure the touch-ring and buttons under the graphic tablet configuration (version 2.0)
The tab is missing altogether, so I just have "General", "Tablet", "Stylus" and "Touch".
I also cannot save any profile and every time I open the configuration or try to save a profile I get an error "Profile default does not exist".

Is there a possible workaround until this device is implemented in the package?
The Intuos pro (PTH651/K) button layout is identical to Intuos 5 (PTH650/K)
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=314892

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Connect Intuos pro medium
2. Open Graphic tablet - System settings
3.
Actual Results:
- "Express Keys" or Touch ring tab are missing
- Cannot access profiles

Expected Results:
- An Express keys tab that enables the user to configure the buttons and touch ring of the tablet
- Normally save-open-make new profiles

The tablet is very new, therefore I am expecting a workaround.
When I was trying to install it, at some point I uninstalled all the previous wacom drivers and the kde graphic tablet utility. I installed them again after the new tablet drivers were working.

Tablet: Wacom Inutos pro M (PTH-651)
kcm_wacomtablet: 2.0-2.2

Linux 3.11.6-4-desktop
openSUSE 13.1 (Bottle) (x86_64)
KDE Platform Version: 4.11.3

I had the same problem with the my new Tablet. The Tablet is not listed in the wacom_devicelist under /usr/share/kde4/apps/wacomtablet/data

The workaround i did to get the tablet working is to add it to this list (root-privileges required). I added this to the wacom_devicelist:

[0315]
model=PTH-651
layout=bl_4
name=Wacom Intuos Pro M
padbuttons=9
wheel=no
touchring=yes
touchstripl=no
touchstripr=no
hwbutton1=1
hwbutton2=2
hwbutton3=3
hwbutton4=8
hwbutton5=9
hwbutton6=10
hwbutton7=11
hwbutton8=12
hwbutton9=13

After adding the tablet the default profile is created and all works as expected.
