I configured to save metadata to RAW files. I tried several times without success (to write to CR2 files), but it worked for JPG. I checked the result using exiftool, but I didn't find any update in the RAW (CR2) file, but JPG files were updated. Maik, With the new future ExifTool wrapper for metadata, we can support RAW files information update and disable this task to Exiv2 as the library is not updated since a while for RAW files writing mode. Not all Raw file formats are supported for writting operations, but at least all main RAW formats are proposed in R/W: https://exiftool.org/#supported Gilles

For RAW and other king of files as MPO or JPEG with more than 64kB of Exif segement, Exiv2 must be bannned to uses in cases of writting operations as files can be corrupted. This require more regression tests to validate ExifTool uses in place of Exiv2.
