Description Alicia Boya García (ntrrgc) 2013-10-19 21:01:41 UTC
There is a customizable global key shortcut for KWin in systemsettings that allows to move focus from one screen to other.

It's useful, but it seems it no longer works, no matter which keys I bind to it.

Reproducible: Always
Comment 1 Thomas Lübking 2013-10-19 21:53:13 UTC
Works for me.
How do you determine it?

In order to "make the window on the other screen active" you'd have to enable
separateScreenFocus: false

"kcmshell4 kwinoptions", pretty much on the bottom.

Otherwise the active screen is just where new windows will spawn (unless they request a specific screen or position)
Comment 2 Alicia Boya García (ntrrgc) 2013-10-19 21:57:08 UTC
That fixed it. Even though before updating to KDE 4.11 it worked and I did not touch anything.
Comment 3 Thomas Lübking 2013-10-19 22:21:23 UTC
No idea - the setting is false by default and required true to activate a window on the new active screen.

No idea why this is configurable or false by default, but it didn't change for a long time. *shrug*

I agree that could be an option to drop or at least change the default - it's
one of the settings I always change. No idea why it's that default *shrug*

This bug report is quite old. Can you please confirm, that the issue still persists with KDE 5.23?
