Description mrbmarple 2013-08-07 20:05:18 UTC
User should be able to select multiple layers and use the move tool to re-position across the canvas. Right now, I can only select 1 layer therefore would have to move 1 layer at a time. If I have a sketch on one layer and paint overlays on another layer (possibly several layers), it would take a while to move all of them, also difficult to re-position accurately. (I could create a group and then drag all the layers into it then use the move tool which would also take a few extra steps)

It would be great to have the ability to move all the associated layers at once (without grouping)- with the assurance that the layers are on top of one another exactly as i painted them.

Reproducible: Always

I wouldn't rule it out completely, but I don't think we will add multiple layer selection anytime soon. It's madness, everything that is nicely defined with one layer breaks down. We had that at some point, but it was almost impossible to fix.

Yeah... It's _very_ tricky, I'm afraid. It's also a very common request :-)
