I'm sure this was happening for me a few days ago, but I was too lazy to report it.

Today, however, I cannot reproduce. Not sure if it's been fixed in the meantime or what's going on.

I build from master source pretty regularly so it could very well have been fixed recently.

I am running Kmail 4.10.2 on Gentoo and its doing this very annoying. Try to modify or edit an address and it keeps moving the cursor to after the last letter, so I have to keep moving it back with every key stroke, extremely annoying. Google does crap that like to, really need to chill out with moving things around automatically. In theory it helps, in reality its very annoying and becomes more of a problem than solution.

When cursor inside address it moved to end after address editing in KMail 4.10.3.

Pretty odd to close a older bug in favor of a new duplicate. Usually you mark the newer bugs as duplicate of an older one, not vice versa. Just shows who ever filed the new one did not look to see if one existed before filing a new one.

This bug needs to be REOPENED, it is NOT a duplicate of bug 318597 which mentions issues with AUTO COMPLETION, not cursor moving when trying to correct an already typed email address. This issue has NOTHING to do with auto completion. You can have an empty address book, and when you type an email, if you need to correct it, you will have issues with the cursor moving. Clearly someone did not read the issue or pay much attention to detail as to the problems being described in each bug. There might be similarities, but issues are quite different and this bug is NOT a duplicate of that one!

I'm facing this bug too.

archlinux, kde 4.11.1

Don't think that the bug 318597 is a duplicate. Anyway, it's very very annoying, and it's passed quite a few months (and version) since it was reported.

reopen, please ?

What about reopening this?

The bug is still present in 4.12.2 (at least here on Gentoo).
