Driver bug, Disable the logout effect or (likely) disable blurring in the effect:

kwriteconfig --file kwinrc --group Effect-Logout --key UseBlur false

(that does not impact general blurring)

Hi thomas,

I used the command you wrote and the crash screen still comes on at logout.

Do you want me to send another bug?

That would be againts the nouveau driver at bugs.freedesktop.org, but nouveau OpenGL is not considered end user ready: http://nouveau.freedesktop.org/wiki/MesaDrivers
