Description Frieder Ferlemann 2012-10-19 21:29:15 UTC
likely I'm missing something but none of the user interface items of apper give me the version of apper.

If it helps, the sh1sum of apper I'm using is:

> which apper
/usr/bin/apper

> sha1sum /usr/bin/apper
6e83cdeb94753bc2899305a6b413988db697396e /usr/bin/apper

On the command line (if I do not get the message "Apper is already running!") I can find out more

> apper --version
Qt: 4.8.3
KDE: 4.9.2 "release 511"
Apper: 0.7.2

but for a system application which would be pivotal in a chain of trust I cannot believe that this detour can be intended.

Reproducible: Always

Well it was mostly intended to be used from system settings which has the option.
I'll think in a way to expose that when it's not called from there..
