Description jochen 2012-10-09 13:29:25 UTC
If there is a event or task with a reminder, and the pc was not running when the reminder should make "his noise", there will be also no noise after the event or task.
There will be no information that was on 5:30 am a task if you switch on the pc on 7:00 am.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Actual time is Monday, 8:00 am.
2. I create a calender event for Monday, 10:00 am with the standard reminder function.
3. PC is running and kontact is open i get 15min befor the event a reminder.
4. Now i create a event for Monday, 3:00 pm.
5. On Monday 11:00 am i switch of my PC.
6. On Tuesday 8:00 am i switch on the PC and open Kontact.
7. I get no reminder for the event from Monday, 3:00 pm.

Expected Results:
Get a reminder also for events or tasks, that are back in time when the programm was not running or the pc was off.
I need to get a information if there where some tasks or events appointed, even if they are in the past.

OS is Windows 7 professional with KDE for Windows in Version 4.8.0
Kontact work together with a Kolab Server v2.3.4

This is still the case today. Here's another lost reminder example
IF you suspend a reminder for a period of and exit kontact before that reminder is due and relaunch kontact, the reminder is lost. A pretty basic requirement is that no reminders are ever lost even after the event has happened

Forgot to mention this happens on opensuse Tumbleweed/Plasma 5.3 as well and has been the case on opensuse for years.
