Gwenview could benefit from the capability to display images using a highly simplified multidocument interface, a la Kuickshow. 1) Only the image would be displayed, hiding all menus, toolbars, status bar, side bar, etc: just the image and window title (and border). The window would have exactly the image size, there would be no empty window background. 2) Several images could be opened simultaneously, in different windows. This is very convenient to very quickly and efficiently browse numerous images, using all screen space to display images, comparing different versions, etc. One very simple way to achieve this would be to add the following features: 1) Hide all controls: currently, the menus and side bar can be hidden, but not the toolbars and status bar. 2) Shortcut to start a second instance of Gwenview displaying current image: this can almost be done using Open with->Gwenview, except that one cannot assign a shortcut to this action, so it cannot be done quickly and repeatedly. 3) Automatically resize window to image size. Reproducible: Always

For what it's worth, you can indeed hide the toolbar; it's a standard toolbar. Just right-click on it.
