In 4.8.1, whenever I send a message using notify-send, the icon in the system tray shows up, but the message in the upper right with the information/words does not show up for the first message. If the icon is still in the tray, any subsequent messages display properly, but the first one does not. If I close the notifications so the icon goes away, the first message won't appear again.
