Two sine sounds of different frequency, with matching cue sheet.

Version: 2.5.0 (using KDE 4.8.0)
OS: Linux

Adding the attached mp3 file (with matching cue sheet) to Amarok properly shows two tracks. However, manually advancing to the second track on the disc will restart playback from the beginning of the entire mp3 file, i.e., starting with track 1 again (the low tone). Using the GStreamer backend...

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
* open attached mp3 file
* see that cue sheet is properly parsed
* click on 2 kHz "song"

Actual Results:
* the first, 440 Hz "song" is playing

Expected Results:
* the second, 2 kHz track should play

#270003 seems similar, but somewhat different.

Which phonon backend do you use? Please try the phonon-backend-vlc 0.5.0 as the gstreamer backend is know to have track progression issues.

Tried both gstreamer and vlc. VLC almost works (I believe this has improved somewhat recently): going to a specific song in the CUE sheet starts playback from the beginning of te file (bad), but manually seeking in the bar (which is greyed out, detecting that it plays from where it shouldn't?) very close to the beginning seems to readjust to the proper seek position and then I am in the right part of the track, i.e., the beginning of that track somewhere in the middle of the big file. I hope this makes some sense...

This means that one can at least listen to CUEs with manual intervention, but obviously prevents (non-sequential?) play.

This sounds very much like what I'm experiencing (2.5.0).
I have a Flac file with associated Cue file.

I've noticed a couple things.
a) The playlist doesn't always advance to the next track, despite the progress bar and audio making the transition
b) Double clicking a track doesn't always switch to the selected track
c) When a track is started, playback will sometimes instead start from the beginning of the album with the progress bar greyed out.

None of these behaviours seems to happen 100% - sometimes things work exactly as they should.

amarok 2.6.0, os Linux (x86_64) release 3.2.0-30-generic.
i've tried Phonon VLC backend 0.6.0 and Phonon Gstreamer 4.6.2.

Gstreamer recognises the tracknames, names them correctly, cuts the single mp3 file by the cue sheet, but playing any single song always starts the first on the file.
VLC backend does not recognise song names and track length so it shows all tracks as the main mp3 name and all track lengths are the same as original mp3 file. VLC can play the track, but it does not work properly.
