Description Alex 2012-02-09 22:03:35 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.8.0)
OS: Linux

KMix assumes that the sound card is un-muted each time it starts. If I mute the card, and restart kde, right clicking the kmix tray icon shows the card unmuted. If mute is "checked" the card is then un-muted.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1) Mute the sound card using ALSA or KMix.
2) Restart X/KDE
3) Right Click the KMix icon and observe that "Mute" is not checked.
4) Check the "Mute" context menu option and notice that it unmutes ALSA.

Actual Results:
The Mute toggle option is assumed to be in the off state regardless of ALSA state.

Expected Results:
Mute is checked correctly on KMix start and applied.

I am quite sure this is the same as bug 292904. I will at least handle both there. Moving bug.
