Description thorsten.stubbe 2012-02-01 08:29:27 UTC
Version:           2.1.0 (using KDE 4.6.5)
OS:                Linux

The "Configure Kile" - dialog changes its size according to the content. In my eyes, this isn't very usefull and many of the "pages" are to big for a 13" (1280x800) display. That's why it is impossible to klick on OK or APPLY in the right bottom corner.
Maybe it's a problem of using Kile under Gnome (2.32.1)?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Just use the "Configure Kile" - dialog on a display smaller than 1280x800.

Actual Results:
The dialog is to big for the screen.

Expected Results:
The dialog shouldn't be to big for the screen.

OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.38-13-generic
Compiler: cc

Happens on a 15.4" screen as well.

Duplicate via - Settings - Configure Kile - Preview

Behavior: window expands and fills more than screen height. The "ok" button disappears, as well as anything on the bottom line, and does not reappear. Window can only be expanded and not shrunk.

This makes configuration problematic.

$ uname -a
Linux dua 3.0.0-17-generic #30-Ubuntu SMP Thu Mar 8 20:45:39 UTC 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

$ kile --version
Qt: 4.7.4
KDE Development Platform: 4.7.4 (4.7.4)
Kile: 2.1.0

This is on a linux mint system, more or less. This occurs in Gnome-Classic interface, not tested elsewhere.
Open bug tracking system that exposes emails is also a bug - this was created using a mailinator account and will never be visited again. This is a terrible policy. Fix: Only allow logged in members to see email and make this change clear.
