I'm using KDE 4.8 RC1 compiled from sources on Gentoo x64. Sometimes the Notification applet is clipped on some notifications. Haven't ever had the issue on 4.7.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
Just happens sometimes.

Actual Results:  
Notification applet isn't full width.

Expected Results:  
Notification applet should take up the full width.

Happens in 4.8.0 also.

The same happens here, too. Not only in 4.8.3, but I remember having  also seen this all the time in 4.7.x and 4.6.x.

Reopening since the overlapping issue is sometimes still reproducible in 4.8.97 (at least for the close button "X") and this specific issue has not been addressed in separate reports into which I split Bug 284395.

fixed in 4.10, complete rewrite
