After upgrading from 4.7.4 to 4.8 beta2 screen saver is running really slow. I use slide show as screen saver and all the effects for pictures being changed are very-very slow. I'd say they are about 20 times slower than they should - I can literally watch eg. every dot appearing from the new image on the old one.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Set slide show as screen saver. Wait for it to kick in.

Actual Results:  
Every image appears very-very slowly. When I move my mouse to quit screen saver, it takes about 3-5 seconds to show the desktop again.

Expected Results:  
Work normal.

Still happens in RC2 too (openSUSE packages).
