Description Paul Weiss 2011-11-21 10:20:01 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.7.3)
OS: Linux

I am using KDE version 4.7.3 & Kmix version 3.9. My notebook (Toshiba L745D) has two audio outputs: HDMI and sound card. By default KDE chose my HDMI as my master channel. When I went in to the Mixer to change the master channel to analog audio, it did not change. Clicking on the volume icon still showed me the HDMI channel volume controls.

I then right-clicked on the volume icon and selected Select Master Channel, chose analog audio and this time my master channel successfully switched to analog audio.

It would be nice if changing the master channel from the Mixer would also work.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1) click on volume icon
2) click on Mixer
3) click on Settings
4) click on Select Master Channel
5) change channels
6) click OK

Actual Results:
Master channel does not change.

Expected Results:
I expect the master channel to change.
