Description Alin M Elena 2011-11-08 10:06:54 UTC
Version: 2.4-GIT (using Devel)
OS: Linux

I have an ape file and the attached cue.
the title of the file is
Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky - Tchaikovsky 1812 Overture (Daniel Barenboim).ape
when I load it in amarok is listed as a file, instead of listing the tracks.
however if I change the name to something like test.ape, test.cue and amend the cue file to point to the correct file it works.

I have also renamed it to Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky - Tchaikovsky 1812 Overture.ape the same failure.

Hm, why not replacing the spaces by an underscore? You can do this automatically in a tagging tool.
Comment 2 Alin M Elena 2011-11-08 14:04:51 UTC
because that is an workaround... and spaces are perfectly valid characters in the name of a file...

Thank you for the information.

Couldn't find problem with this, included special characters (spaces) and song loaded just fine.

Alin: Can you please upgrade to Amarok 2.6 and check if this works now? Not sure the Google Code-In student did really have a *.cue file at hand to check that.

Comment 8 Alin M Elena 2012-12-08 11:02:35 UTC
I did a small test and works almost fine...
unfortunately as the bug got no atention over the time I have already converted all my collection to some computer friendly file names...
The only issue i see now is the name that amarok uses before the total time... second line the in the picture (see attach)... It seems to be some path... pretty useless info...

i am using the latest git... just to be clear.
Comment 9 Alin M Elena 2012-12-08 11:32:16 UTC
ok I have tested with a file with more than one space... and the bug is still there...
if anyone is interested in the fixing the bug can pm me to arrange a file transfer.

Alin

Thank you for the fast feedback, latest git is v2.6.0-424-g0324146, right?
Comment 11 Alin M Elena 2012-12-08 14:58:47 UTC
so it seems it is older I would have liked... 01/12/12... I would get a newer version and recheck...
