Version: 2.7.2 (using KDE 4.7.2) OS: Linux I have two displays working in TwinView mode. Every time I lunch Konsole it's window gets automatically resized to fit display horizontally. Same happens if I move it from one display to another. No other application behaves the same way. Disabling second display doesn't change window's behavior. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Konsole. It's window gets resized horizontally. 2. If you have two displays, move window to another display. Actual Results: Konsole's window gets resized horizontally. Expected Results: Konsole's window is not resized. OS: Linux (x86_64) release 3.0.0-12-generic Compiler: gcc
Looks like I solved this issue myself. I edited application-specific setting for window (there were no special settings for it before), set "Maximized horizontally" to Force No. After that, I restarted Konsole, deleted application-specific settings, and restarted it again. The window no longer gets maximized.
No, I was wrong. If I delete application-specific settings, window gets maximized horizontally again.
This sounds similar to bug 285933 and bug 291809, although those two bugs are about "maximizing vertically".
possibly bug #290990 - have a look, check the properties and expect it to be fixed in case it's this
Thomas, thanks for the information. Alexander, could you please check this problem again using KDE SC 4.8? The two similar issues has been confirmed to be fixed in KDE SC 4.8 by the reporters.
Changing status according to comment #5.
I've just upgraded KDE to 4.8 and tested Konsole. The bug is fixed.
