Created attachment 63406 [details] Systray theme issue Version: unspecified (using Devel) OS: Linux Everytime I start my desktop, the systray has a shiny looking frame around it. The icons start popping up and all looks pretty. Until there's some QApp/non-KDE app. Once this puts its icon in the tray, the frame around the tray just breaks and goes away, resulting in ugly-themed-systray. It also happens when a notification comes in (so probably when the (i) applet shows in tray). Restarting/crashing plasma-desktop makes the systray look ok. Until there's another app/notification, then it goes back to the ugly-tray. See the screenshot for better understanding. May this be the theme issue? I'm using Androbit, but I've seen this with other themes as well. Oh and I'm running KDE from git (but it's been annoying me for a while now, like from 4.6.something). See the attached screenshot, which shows the systray after plasma start and also after restart. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1/ Log into desktop 2/ Watch your systray Actual Results: The part of the theme for systray gets messed up after certain icons shows there. Expected Results: The systray stays as it was on plasma-desktop load and as the theme should look like.
I can confirm this bug, running on a Gentoo KDE 4.80. The following applications caused system tray icon rescaling (see attachments): 1. Device Mapper 2. VLC 3. Bangarang 4. Skype 5. ... In conrast to the original bug report, restarting of plasma-desktop wont work (using kquitapp plasma-desktop and afterwards plasma-desktop).
