Version: 4.5-git (using KDE 4.7.0) OS: Linux When logging out, all sorts of things happen visually (applications get terminated, the window decorations get removed, ...). At some point in time, all of a sudden, the sound gets killed. I'd prefer the sound fading out smoothly. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start up kaffeine 2. Play some mp3 files 3. Shutdown KDESC by any means (kickoff, the shutdown plasmoid, the desktop's context menu, ...) Actual Results: 4. At some time of the logout procedure, the sound gets brutally killed Expected Results: 4. The shutdown dialog should tell phonon about the shutdown. Phonon should fade down the master volume

Is this still happening for you in a recent version of Plasma 5?
