Description Friedrich W. H. Kossebau 2011-07-31 17:17:09 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.7.0)
OS: Linux

There is a shadow lying in my maximized window :)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1) Add a panel to the upper side of the screen
2a) Move a window next to the panel
or
2b) Maximize window
3) Ensure focus on that window

Actual Results:
The shadow of the panel is also drawn on the window.

Expected Results:
There is no shadow drawn on the window, at least if maximized.
Could be discussed for floating windows, not sure what I prefer myself.
But with maximized windows I somehow really would like to imagine the window is on the level of the panels, fully snapped up to them.
The shadow somehow makes it looks unfocussed to me, has irritated me the whole day already :)

Is also valid with panels on the left and right side. And perhaps even the bottom panel, but am not really sure.
Comment 1 Martin Flöser 2011-07-31 17:39:35 UTC
was actually an intended change due to the new shadow system.
