Fixed in trunk *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 275185 ***
I still don't have private Twitter messages in Choqok 1.2 (from neversfelde ppa) in Oneiric. Re-authenticating doesn't help. There is no direct-message access right assigned in the Twitter app list. And Twitter explicitly tells me that Choqok will have NO access to direct messages while authenticating. Do I need to open a new bug since this one is closed as resolved?
Here is why choqok doesn't have DM access anymore: https://dev.twitter.com/docs/application-permission-model What does this mean for your application? [...] If you do need access to direct messages: you will need to edit your application record on https://dev.twitter.com/apps and change the permission level of your application to "Read, Write and Direct Messages". The new permission will not affect existing tokens which means existing users or your app or service will need to reauthorize.
Created attachment 67786 [details] Twitter granting access for Choqok I am sure I did it. and Choqok requests to access your direct messages too. Here is a screen shot I made write now when I wanted to authorize Choqok to access my twitter account. You can do it yourself too!
Created attachment 67787 [details] Twitter Authorization for Choqok, missing DM rights Well, I'm stupified, I'm seeing this (see attachment). The logo is different as well, but that might be a Kubuntu branding thing? Are you sure you updated all your app-id's. There may be a lingering Kubuntu Choqok somewhere? Am I using a wrong version of Choqok?
Ah, Got it, You should report this to Kubuntu guys, They created an twitter app for Choqok in Kubuntu, And I have no access to change that data. They choose to have this, and its their responsibility.
I see. Thanks for following up. I'll report the problem and hope they fix.
