Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.3) OS: Linux The properties window (right-click file, properties) should display the hash values of a file (at least MD5, CRC32, SHA-1 and SHA-256, others optionally). There should be (below the list of hashes) a simple text box where the user can paste a hash value and, if that's actually one of the values of the file, this value should be highlighted green (or any other information that says if the value is correct and which one it is). The perfect example is a tool called HashTab for Windows systems (Explorer). Reproducible: Always Expected Results: Hashes should be shown.

Not a Dolphin issue - the "Properties" dialog is a part of kdelibs.
I would like this feature, too. I'm using the HashCheck Shell Extension [1] on Windows and like it very much. [1] http://code.kliu.org/hashcheck/
