Description wdmlist 2011-07-04 00:31:14 UTC
Application: plasma-desktop (0.4)
KDE Platform Version: 4.6.4 (4.6.4)
Qt Version: 4.7.2
Operating System: Linux 2.6.38-9-generic x86_64
Distribution: Ubuntu 11.04

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
Since I have installed 11.04 either my router has not accepted the handshake from my computer or network manager does not know how to handle the connection.

So every time I turn on this computer, I have to either disable or reenable network manager, and since this new version of networkmanager does not have a refresh connection routine, I have to disable it and renable it. I have not exactly figured out how to get it to connect in terms of an exact procedure.

Most times I try deleting the networking files and restart the service, disable plasma network manager from the gui, and then resetting the router.

- Unusual behavior I noticed:
The LAN connection is not connecting as normal.

- I have not been able to find an exact bug report for this as I have not determined the nature of the problem, if it is related to the interaction with 11.04 and my router, or if it is my router alone.

The crash can be reproduced some of the time.

This bug was fixed some months ago. Ubuntu should upgrade their packages.
