Version: 2.4.1 (using KDE 4.6.4) OS: FreeBSD Using the latest Amarok I've noticed that it doesn't update the file listing of a folder using a NFS mount. It is solved by restarting Amarok. It does work on other folder on the disks. I noticed that Amarok uses KDirModel, and other programs I use that implement that model (like Krusader) also doesn't update the NFS mount when new files are added or moved. It could be a KDE-specific issue, but it could also be my configuration... though, i start here :) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: * Mount a folder with NFS. * Open the file browser in Amarok and browse to the nfs-mounted folder * Copy new contents to the folder.. Actual Results: No new folders or files are added to the file listing view in Amarok Expected Results: Updates should be shown as data are added or remove
I think this is just not implemented for your Platform/filesystem type combination. IMO KDirModel uses Linux-specific filesystem modification wather on Linux, I don't know about FreeBSD.
