Description kc8hfi 2011-06-15 04:34:41 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.3)
OS: Linux

when displaying the date on the digital clock, it doesn't adhere to the date format specified in system settings->locale->country/region & language->date & time. For example, todays date shows up as "Tue, 14 Jun 2011. The long date format in system settings is WEEKDAY, MONTH DD, YYYY and the short format is MM/DD/YYYY.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Go to the digital clock settings
check the "show date" option"
check the "include the year option"

In KDE 4.7 you can use the SystemSettings format for the date of the Digital
Clock applet but you need to restart plasma to make it use it.
