Version: Git (master) (using KDE 4.6.3) OS: Linux The summary says it all. Search folders always show messages as unread even when they are read on their original folder. The anoying consequence is that whenever you cycle throug new messages you always have to cycle through all the searches. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Create a search. All the mesages there will be marked as unread. Actual Results: All the mesages on a search folder asre marked as unread. Expected Results: Messages in search folders have a read/unread status equal to that in their original folders OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.38-9-generic Compiler: cc
I can confirm it.
For me it's not marked as read Could you retest with updated kmail please ?
I just recompiled (334c719ec0cc1ee3cf3936e9c6b6683304bb2f31). The situation has definitely improved, as the messages themselves are not markled as unread. The folders, however, are still marked as having unread mail and even show an unread count.
Confirming for 4.7.1
Still the same situation in 4.8.2.
Search folders still have an unread count equal to the total number of messages found. I am using master, compiled from source.

Sorry for the noise -- the problem was fixed and doesn't occur in 4.11.2.
