Description PeterF 2011-05-28 13:37:59 UTC
Version: 4.6 (using KDE 4.6.2)
OS: Linux

I have been trying to download new scripts (or update) for Amarok 2.4 and wallpapers (KDE in general), but I always receive the error "failed to download http://download.kde.org/ocs/providers.xml".

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
I have tried to paste the URL into konqeror/Firefox, but this file seems be gone.
I have also tried setting a new URL into amarokrc as outlined at http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Introduction_to_Get_Hot_New_Stuff#Setting_up_a_provider.xml_file, but that would not work either (after restarting amarok).

Actual Results:
It would refer back to the general URL download.kde.org/ocs/providers.xml.

Expected Results:
Should have downloaded the listed of scripts from
http://download.kde.org/khotnewstuff/amarokscripts-providers.xml

I checked both http://download.kde.org/ocs/providers.xml and http://download.kde.org/khotnewstuff/amarokscripts-providers.xml and both download fine in Konqueror.

Maybe there was a temporary fail on the URL as I saw it reported on another report. Marking as duplicate.

Peter can you retry today and close the duplicate if it works? thanks in advance!
