Version: GIT (master) (using KDE 4.6.2) OS: Linux Special dates plugin of the Summary component does not update/redraw itself when a new special date is added or when its settings are changed. Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: 1) enable Special dates plugin in Summary view 2) change its settings Actual Results: *) the Special dates plugin just stays as it is Expected Results: *) updated view in an instant or at least timely manner It redraws only when Kontact is quit (or crashes) and I start it anew. For comparison, the Upcoming events plugin in that regard works as expected.
Confirmed in master. Changing the special dates settings has no effect (eg changing the "show special dates starting" setting)
*** Bug 271729 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present? If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kontact (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.
Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
confirm this still happens. there is a missing changed() signal from the kcmsdsummary that needs to update the view.
git master, btw
