Application: amarok (2.3.0) KDE Platform Version: 4.4.2 (KDE 4.4.2) Qt Version: 4.6.2 Operating System: Linux 2.6.32-25-generic i686 Distribution: Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS -- Information about the crash: Amarok crashed when attempting to move on to the second track of a cd (without user intervention). After relaunching, amarok didn't initially recognise that the cd is there, but after ejecting and re-inserting the cd twice, it appeared. Track lenghts were however zero. I was then able to put the CD tracks in the playlist and started playing the first. Again, when that track finished and amarok should have started the next, it crashed. On relaunching amarok again, it was unable to recognise the cd. I tried relaunching several times. I'll attach the second crash report in a sec.. When I launch Amarok, a popup appeared from phonon explaining that "HDA intel (AD198x Analog)" had a problem and 'falling back to pulse audio'. -- Backtrace: Application: Amarok (amarok), signal: Aborted [Current thread is 1 (Thread 0xb7779720 (LWP 23022))] Thread 19 (Thread 0xb6183b70 (LWP 23025)): #0 0x00a46422 in __kernel_vsyscall () #1 0x0996ed33 in __lll_lock_wait_private () at ../nptl/sysdeps/unix/sysv/linux/i386/i686/../i486/lowlevellock.S:95 #2 0x09905697 in _L_lock_9639 () from /lib/tls/i686/cmov/libc.so.6 #3 0x09903ec6 in *__GI___libc_free (mem=0xa249f18) at malloc.c:3736 #4 0x02d30fc6 in IA__g_free (mem=0xa249f18) at /build/buildd/glib2.0-2.24.1/glib/gmem.c:191 #5 0x02d27f5a in g_source_unref_internal (source=0xa249f18, context=<value optimized out>, have_lock=0) at /build/buildd/glib2.0-2.24.1/glib/gmain.c:1339 #6 0x01f120fd in QEventDispatcherGlib::~QEventDispatcherGlib() () from /usr/lib/libQtCore.so.4 #7 0x01de2e9a in ?? Sorry, but your backtrace is not useful, as you are lacking debugging symbols. If you can reproduce this bug, please check here on how to get a valid backtrace: http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports Since you are using Kubuntu, you will need amarok-dbg and phonon-dbg at least, ideally you should also have kdelibs5-dbg, libqt4-dbg and libglib2.0-0-dbg. That should cover most of the crashes. This is probably a duplicate of bug 207579
Closing as duplicate for lack of feedback. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 207579 ***
