Created attachment 58793 [details] broken clock in KDE SC 4.5.3 Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.2) OS: Linux I encountered a strange behaviour of my clock. I use a vertical panel in the right side of the screen. But most of the time (not always) the clock gets hards shown. Only on some dates the clock and date is shown properly. The rest of the time there is just a bunch of pixels . Removing and adding the clock does not change that behaviour. I had the same behaviour in kde 4.5.3, 4.6.0 und 4.6.2. See the attached screenshot from panels of those three versions. Please see also Bug 254161, which I consider related to this issue. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: Add a vertical panel with some applets, add the digital clock and wait some days if needed until date or time which breaks the clock Actual Results: The clock is unreadable Expected Results: A Date and a time should be displayed sharp and correct OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.37.1-1.2-desktop Compiler: gcc opensuse 11.4, KDE46 repo

Suggested Workaround for it by Sebas: Disabling of timezone and/or Date. Also another clock style like analog clock might work.
