Description Raphael Javaux 2011-04-05 16:03:37 UTC
Version:           unspecified (using KDE 4.6.1)
OS:                Linux

This happens since the last update of the Network Managment in Arch Linux (upgraded kdeplasma-applets-networkmanagement (git20110126-2 -> git20110304-1)).

The whole plasma desktop freeze a few seconds after clicking on the close button the OpenVPN connection. KMenu freeze too, but ALT+TAB and ALT+F2 still run.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start an OpenVPN connection
2. Close the OpenVPN connection

Actual Results:
The whole plasma desktop freeze a few seconds after.

Expected Results:
No freeze

The NetworkManager log print this line at the moment of the freeze :

Apr 5 15:55:26 netbook NetworkManager[1300]: <info> Policy set 'Auto eth0' (eth0) as default for IPv4 routing and DNS. # => Click on Close
Apr  5 15:55:32 netbook NetworkManager[1300]: <info> VPN service 'openvpn' disappeared # => Freeze
