My apt-get changes log

Version: 0.6.80 (using KDE 4.6.1)
OS: Linux

When returning to a previous web page (clicking on the Back arrow button, or right-click > Go Back), navigation functions are not working. The mouse works, but the displayed page is effectively 'dead'. Only refreshing the URL brings the page 'back to life'. In the 'dead' state, you can not scroll on the page or click on any links - the page is for all practical purposes, just a picture.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
Happens more often than not.

Launch Rekonq. Navigate to any web site. Click on any link on that site. Click on the Back button or right-click > Go Back to the previously displayed web page. Navigation is dead.

Actual Results:
Page is navigationaly 'dead.' Click the URL refresh button and reload the page. Page is 'alive' and normal navigation functions work.

Expected Results:
Presented a working web page.

I can confirm this on ubuntu natty64bit rekonq0.6.95 kde4.6.1
Comment 2 Andrea Diamantini 2011-03-27 00:32:28 UTC
I noticed it sometimes also here. I can just say that this problem disappeared once I recompiled Qt/QtWebKit. I don't think this is a rekonq related problem. Leaving open to be sure about.

Bug still present in Rekonq 0.7.0, KDE 4.6.2, Kubuntu Natty Narwhal 11.04.
Comment 6 Felix Rohrbach 2011-04-23 14:02:31 UTC
Bug 271313 describes a similar problem, but here the freeze is caused by the "save as" dialog.
Comment 7 Paul L. 2011-05-08 19:41:34 UTC
Just upgraded to KDE 4.6.3 (ppa:kubuntu-ppa). Rekonq is reporting version 0.7.0. The problem with navigation as I reported is still present.
Comment 8 Silver Salonen 2011-05-18 11:14:08 UTC
The same here with 0.7.0 on KDE 4.6.3 and openSUSE 11.4.

Can the summary of the bug be changed to something a bit easier to find?

When I was submitting bug 273387, I searched existing reports and missed this one. "Navigation dies" is not even entirely accurate: the entire *tab* freezes, not just its navigation -- if it needs to be redisplayed, it turns into a blank rectangle. But it is just the current tab, all other rekonq tabs and windows are unaffected.
Comment 11 Andrea Diamantini 2011-12-18 09:53:08 UTC
What about now?
rekonq 0.8.x
KDE 4.7.x
Qt 4.7.x
Comment 12 Johannes Obermayr 2011-12-21 17:48:53 UTC
Seems to be fixed.
