Screenshot

Version: 0.2 (using KDE 4.6.0)
OS: Linux

Suddenly, the article list is shown as very large. That is, the font is normal, but the icon left to each article is HUGE. See the screenshot. Knode is not really usable any more.

Reproducible: Always

I had the same problem maybe half a year ago. After a restart of kontact it was gone. But now it seems to be persistent.

I don't use knode often. It might be that this happened after I upgraded kontact from 4.4.10 to 4.5.94.1 and then immediately back to 4.4.10 because kmail was acting totally weird.

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.37-ck
Compiler: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-gcc

I can confirm this on openSUSE 11.3 64bit. KDE 4.6.0 and Kontact 4.4.10, knode 4.4.10-277.1 from the openSUSE KDE 4.6 stable repository. I get the exact display as in Wonko's screen shot and it is reproducible every time here as well.

Yep, hap[pens here as well. Fedora 14, kdelibs-4.5.5-1, kdepim-4.4.10-1. Makes knode completely unusable.

Hi all,

I can provide a possible fix for this situation. On openSUSE 11.3 64 Bit, KDE 4.6.0 Stable I have just changed my icon theme from Oxygen to Oxygencolors(v3.4) Now all the knode icons appear correctly and act as expected. It would therefore appear to be related to the icon theme rather than knode itself. Perhaps someone else can try an see if this also works for them. I am currently very happy with the way knode is now behaving, so for me this issue is resolved. HTH sometone.

Regards

Dave

I don't have this theme, and when I tried to install it (systemsettings -> Application Look&Feel (or whatever this is in English) -> Symbols -> Install Theme File), I got a file not found error.

Anyway, I tried the Tango theme instead, and the problem went away.

Hi Wonko,

I simply went to kde-look.org and downloaded the file manually before installing. I actually like this theme as it is very customisable once installed.

However, you seem to have confirmed the fault lies outside knode, so I'm glad my suggestion helped.

Cheers
Dave

I switched back to the Oxygen icons I was previously using, I like them more. Interestingly, knode still shows the correct icons. Yes, I restarted knode/kontact.

Switching theme to a random one and back to the original one fixed the problem for me as well.
