Which version of KNode are you using ?
Comment 3 luca savio 2010-09-12 21:50:15 UTC
I updated 2 hours ago, now Knode version is 4.4.4.6-0ubuntu1 and the problem seems to be solved. Thans :)

I have the same problem. I'm using knode v4.4.7 on Arch Linux 64bit
Comment 5 Bernd Schmid 2010-11-12 21:11:35 UTC
I also have this problem on Fedora 14 x86. kdepim Version is also 4.4.7.

Thanks, I have not seen this in 4.5.4 Release 9.
Comment 8 Florent Bondoux 2010-12-21 22:52:49 UTC
I have the same problem, but the bug only occurs when using knode through kontact. Standalone knode is fine.
kdepim 4.4.8 on Gentoo Linux, x86-64
Comment 9 Colin J Thomson 2011-01-13 21:36:41 UTC
I was hit with this after an upgrade to KDEPIM 4.4.9/KDE 4.6 RC2 Fedora 14, logging out and deleting the contents of /var/tmp/kdecache-* seems to have fixed it for me.

Just in case the solution in #9 (deleting /var/tmp/kdecache-*) does not help, see https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=266129 for another thing to try.
Comment 14 mkkot 2012-01-28 20:38:27 UTC
Temporary fix (as suggested by Dave Griffiths):

1. systemsettings > Application Look&Feel (or whatever this is in English) > Icons
2. Select some other icon theme, if you don't have, download one
3. Revert back to previously used motif.

Now question mark is gone and knode has normal thread icons.

Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years so I am closing this bug.
