Having read bug 262789 , excatly the same issue is still there:
created a new mailing list mylist, chose the list as message recipient, and got a bounce back that mylist@mydomain.com is not a valid recipient. Of course.

As I cant reopen the a.m. bug, I open a new one

Add: I had saved the message as draft after adding the list as recipient
