Description Stefan Gründel 2011-01-10 21:35:31 UTC
Version: 1.13.5 (using KDE 4.5.1)
OS: Linux

When entering a list of contacts using the KMail composer and saving that list,
looking at the address book, the list is there.

But when trying to chose the list from within KMail, it doesn't show up.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
-create new mail
-select recipients
-save list
-close new mail
-start another new mail
-try to select that saved list

Actual Results:
Distribution list not there

Expected Results:
Distribution list displayed

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.35-24-generic
Compiler: cc

Cannot reproduce in KMail2 with the steps given. Will be fixed in KDEPIM 4.6

I think this bus is still slightly different: The list is there, but it is not resolved properly (Version 1.13.7
Unter KDE 4.6.2 (4.6.2) "release 3")

Axel: you get an error like the one in bug 247105 ?

can you check your smtp settings for the account used to send your message ?
In KMail settings, "Accounts", "Sending" and look at the "Advanced" tab.

is "send custom hostname" enabled ?

yes, that looks like it!
created a group 'test', send a mail to test, and get the reply that <test@mydomain.com> has permanent errors (mydomain.com is the standard domain)
